Don't be expecting a 'Don't Speak' break-up anthem on the upcoming No Doubt album with Gwen Stefani labelling the new tunes 'happy'.

During a recent radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, Stefani confirmed the album due this year is all about the good times.

"We've been going for awhile trying to make this record and it s been super challenging but really fun, we're trying to enjoy the moment of writing and…it's just a really fun process and I think it's going to be out this year."

"It's generally a really happy album…the main thing we were trying to do is write really catchy good songs…we got about 10 songs done and we want to do a few more just in case, but it's a really good record, I really love this record."

The remaining female "Idol" finalists -- Lauren Alaina, Pia Toscano and Haley Reinhart -- were dressed in L.A.M.B. for Wednesday's show.

Gwen Stefani had a sweet escape to American Idol on Wednesday. The singer and fashion designer dressed the three remaining female Idol finalists -- Lauren Alaina, Pia Toscano and Haley Reinhart -- in her collection, L.A.M.B. Stefani performed the role of guest stylist for Idol’s Top 9 live show, dedicated to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, on Wednesday night.

Stefani chose a black-and-white color palette in dressing the three finalists — as well as herself -- and also added towering, edgy footwear from her accessories collection. The No Doubt singer influenced even the contestants' hair and makeup styling. Toscano's pouf ponytail was slightly inspired by Stefani's hairstyle, and they were all using a red lipstick - Stefani's signature color.

Judge Steven Tyler was impressed and approved the looks: "There's a million guys out there in a million bars having a million drinks about you tonight," he told Toscano.

No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani graces the cover of ELLE's May issue honoring women in music (on newsstands April 12). And though it may be hard to believe that the 41-year-old mom to sons Kingston, 4, and Zuma, 2, could ever think of herself as anything less than beautiful, the stylish singer admits that for her, the first trimester of pregnancy left her feeling... not so "hella good."

"It was horrible. Certain songs would make me want to puke," says Gwen.

"You feel pretty gross when you are first pregnant," she explains to the magazine. "You don't feel cute, you feel disgusting. You're getting fat. It was hard."

"I mean, I'm very vain," added Stefani. "That would be my middle name. Of course I am, you know what I mean? I love the visual."

Someone else that loves that visual and everything else "underneath it all" is Gwen's hubby, Gavin Rossdale.

The singer/songwriter admits that she still gets sentimental thinking about things like their first kiss ("...right around Valentine's Day; we were in New Orleans on tour."), revealing that her eight-year marriage to Gavin is one of her "biggest achievements."

Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale took their little men, Kingston and Zuma, out for lunch at Taco Surf before heading to a birthday party at Kidnastics Quality Gymnastics in L.A. yesterday. Kingston looked as cute as ever in a tiger costume while baby brother Zuma ran around with his face painted under the watchful eye of their proud parents.

Showing her philanthropist side, Gwen recently announced that on April 11 she will be auctioning off a special date for one person to join her during tea and lunch. She's incorporating her designer talents too, of course!

The auction will also include vintage clothes from Gwen's personal wardrobe and a signed custom design T-shirt. The proceeds will go to Japan's relief efforts.

Pop star Gwen Stefani is auctioning off the chance to spend a day with her as part of her bid to raise cash for the survivors of the deadly earthquake/tsunami disasters in Japan.

The No Doubt singer has already made a $1 million donation to aid the Japanese relief effort, and she has created a limited edition T-shirt for her L.A.M.B. fashion label, with all proceeds benefiting the recovery.

And now she's auctioning off herself.

Stefani will offer up items from her own wardrobe and signed merchandise, but the top item will be a day spent with her, including lunch and tea.

The auction begins on April 11, and will run for two weeks.

1. Pick the right shade. If you have fair skin, look for a red with bluish undertones. Medium skin tones need a warmer hue, and darker complexions look best in a deeper burgundy. 2. Apply it like a pro. For all-out glamour like Gwen, start with a little foundation on your lips to so the color looks even more vibrant. Then, use a liner in a similar shade as your lipstick to fill in your lips and define your mouth. Swipe on the lip color straight for the tube for the richest effect. To correct any mistakes, use a dot of foundation or concealer with a small brush.

3. Keep it simple. Unless you're going for a super dramatic look, stick to minimal makeup on your eyes and cheeks. All you need is a few coats of mascara and a hint of blush.

Gwen Stefani has had her L.A.M.B clothing line since 2004. Gwen is known to be one of the most influential style icons in the business, but if you think she got into the fashion industry because it was a childhood dream, you are wrong.

In an interview with CNN, Gwen says that the reason she launched a fashion label is because she didn't know how long she would be in the music industry.

"I started the line honestly because nine or 10 years ago I didn't know how long I would be doing music. They ask you 'What are you going to do in 10 years,' and I didn't know, I just thought by then I want to have a family and I'm not going to be doing music but I wanted to do something creative," she says.

When it comes to designing, Gwen says it’s all about having fun.

"For me it's not that deep," says Stefani. "For me the line is genuinely for myself. I want to make a line of clothes that I want to wear -- it's kind of selfish…I'm not going to ever be a Vivienne Westwood. I'm trying to make clothes to wear everyday, that's what LAMB is. It's not a couture line."

Gwen has had "interesting style" throughout the years. I have to admit, not all of them were great (I'm trying to forget the blue hair phase), but what I love about Gwen is her trademark blonde hair and red lips. She makes any outfit look great with that look.

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale decided to take their sons for a family day out at the California Science Centre, but Kingston seemed more interested in playing superheroes.

The couple's four-year-old son was wearing a fur waistcoat that he turned into a cape, which looked more like something his mother would normally wear.

But Kingston made it his own over a DC Comics Justice League T-shirt and spread the waistcoat like a superhero cloak.

The Justice League is a team of fictional superheroes that appear in comic books published by DC Comics and include Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman among others.

And the youngster seems to have a passion for imitating his favourite characters.

His little brother Zum, two, decided to let Kingston steal the limelight and was more interested in being picked up by Gwen and Gavin as they strolled around Little Tokyo Town in Los Angeles after their trip to the Science Centre.

Gwen, 41, was also making waves with her wardrobe choice by stepping out in a black and white houndstooth printed dress.

The singer and fashion designer teamed up the ensemble with knee-high black boots, a matching handbag and little black jacket.

While rocker Gavin kept his look casual in jeans and an army green anorak jacket.

And the children's nanny also joined them, who followed Kingston's lead by wearing a Superman T-shirt too.
