Rockstar mama Gwen Stefani took her two adorable sons - Kingston, 5, and Zuma, 2 - to the Underwood Family Farm in Moorpark, Calif. on Saturday (June 11). The trio were joined by some friends as they enjoyed the farm and picked some vegetables. Zuma was seen sporting a cast on his arm after breaking it in an accident at home. Papa Gavin Rossdale recently said that the sweet tot is "doing good now."

The No Doubt singer opened up to THR while vacationing - and shooting her next L'Oreal commercial - in Cannes, France.

Clad in a floor-length ivory gown with her platinum blond locks pulled back into a voluminous hair-sprayed bob, highlighting her dramatic smoky eye makeup and long, thick lashes, Gwen Stefani's beauty team was still putting the final touches on her hair and makeup for the day's L'Oréal Paris False Lash Mascara commercial shoot when The Hollywood Reporter arrived. While she may be famous for her hit single "Don't Speak," Stefani had plenty to say when she sat down to chat at a private villa in Cannes - she dished about her love of all things French, No Doubt's future plans and her iconic glam-rock style.

The Hollywood Reporter: What are you doing in Cannes?

Gwen Stefani: I've always wanted to come and I've never been. So finally, I got this great opportunity to do the amFar benefit [during the Cannes Film Festival] with L'Oreal and I'm shooting a commercial for them.

THR: You're a red carpet regular, but was it different being on the Cannes red carpet?

Stefani: There were a lot of photographers [at Tree of Life premiere] ... that wasn't that big of a deal, but I think the big, big deal was when they started slamming my song really loudly - "Hollaback Girl" came on I was like "whoa, what’s going on?" That was really exciting. I've been to premieres before, but this was just different. It was so formal and official and French and glamorous.

THR: Describe your Cannes experience?

Stefani: Being in France just feels so glamorous. I love working here and playing here. One of my favorite shows we ever did on my last tour was right outside of Paris. I thought they'd be more laidback here, but it was the most outrageous audience we played for. It's one of my best memories.

THR: Any favorite memories from this trip?

Stefani: We have some friends here so we've been living their glamorous life with them and just doing a lot of wine and a lot of food - the food is just so delicious - and having a little break from making the record. It's been great.

THR: You always manage to look stunning on the red carpet. What are your beauty secrets?

Stefani: No secrets. For me this whole thing is just fun and creative.

THR: How would you describe your relationship to fashion?

Stefani: I love anything that's a creative outlet so when you find that perfect dress it's such a fun thing. It's almost like having a wedding every time [I get ready] because its a big moment and you get to wear this amazing, glamorous dress and you get all made up and have a different look. It's like Halloween too. I love it and I never get sick of it. I love getting dressed up. I'd run home from school and put on makeup and play dress up my whole life so this is nothing new.

THR: What's your red carpet style?

Stefani: I enjoy having different looks, trying to change it up, but I can never get away from myself. There's always been this thread since I was in ninth grade, but I enjoy getting dressed up. I love the girly girl part of it all.

THR: What projects are you working on now?

Stefani: A record with No Doubt, so we've been writing for about a year. It takes a long time for us, but it's an incredible record and I can't wait to share it. Out of all of the things that I do, the music is the fire that's fueled everything else. We've worked so hard on it - it's been fun with the band. We're at a different level of friendship and loyalty and loving each other so much and the music is a reflection of that. The reward will be sharing it with people and then doing the videos and coming to play on tour.

THR: Do you have any plans to star on the big screen?

Stefani: Never say never. In my life you never know what's going to happen next.

Gwen Stefani has achieved a wonderful subversion. The solo artist and No Doubt frontwoman has harnessed the money-controlling power of tea parties, and used it not to cut vital services to poor people or exempt rich people from paying taxes. Quite the opposite, in fact: She's inspired people that have money to part with a bit of it, and then gave it away to people in need!

Perhaps that's the difference between green and black tea; green is healthier and less adulterated, while black tea is black because it oxidizes after it’s picked, which is a nice way of saying that it's a bit rotten. At any rate, the news at the root of this little jab is actually quite non-political and just plain nice: Gwen Stefani, lover of Japan and Japanese culture, has raised just over $120,000 for earthquake/tsunami relief efforts by hosting a Harajuku-themed tea party in California.

For those not hip to Japanese pop culture, Harajuku is the name of a train station in Tokyo around which young people hang out every Sunday, decked to the nines in crazy elaborate and colorful fashion and costumes, in a variety of recognizable and/or unique styles. As a solo artist, Stefani toured with a group of Japanese dancers called the Harajuku Girls, as seen in the photo above.

For those unclear about the Moe Tucker reference in the headline, in 2009 the former Velvet Underground drummer started attending rallies for the more popular American service-cutting themed Tea Party, although it took over a year for her on-camera comments to a TV news crew to catch fire around the web, as no one watching at the time realized who she was. In 2010 she clarified her views, which were indeed paranoiac and callous. Thankfully, Stefani's private tea party event bore no resemblance at all to Tucker's public one, and took place at the Royal/T Cafe in Culver City this past Tuesday night with proceeds going to Save the Children's Japan Earthquake Emergency Fund. It has been nearly 10 years since No Doubt dropped their last studio album, Rock Steady; five years since singer Gwen Stefani dropped her last solo album The Sweet Escape; and two years since the group reunited for a big summer tour.

But Job-like No Doubt fans are about to be rewarded: Stefani, guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal and drummer Adrian Young sat down with Entertainment Weekly in Santa Monica this past weekend to chat about where they've been-and where they're going.

And while we're keeping the big news a secret for now (you can read the whole interview in this week's coming issue, which is on newsstands this Friday), Stefani did tell us that the days of her being a solo artist are probably over.

"That was a moment in time," Stefani said firmly when asked about the future of her solo career. "It went on a little longer than we all thought it would, because it was inspired and you have to go with wherever you're at in that time in your life... [But] everything works out how it should."

For a family-oriented outing, it may have not have been the most suitable choice of attire.

Gwen Stefani stepped out in a see-through skirt today, as she and her husband Gavin Rossdale took their two sons, Kingston, five, and Zuma, two to a Memorial day beach party in Malibu.

Under the rays of the Californian sunshine, the sheer black material left little to the imagination, with just a subtle shift stopping the 41-year-old singer from exposing her pert posterior.

But on Gwen's top half it was a different story, with the mother-of-two covered up in a black leather bomber jacket and hooded top.

As always, glamorous Gwen wore her signature platinum blonde locks in a chic up-do, and sported a slick of bright Scarlett lipstick and matching manicured fingernails.

She finished off the look with a pair of black oversized sunglasses and some large silver earrings.

Gwen kept a close eye on her younger son Zuma, who looked adorable in a pair of multi-coloured boardshorts and beaded red necklace.

And nearby was her husband Gavin, 45, who was having a blast with older son Kingston, who sported a temporary bulldog tattoo on his chest and a snake design on his leg.

The renegade toddler splashed around in the water as he was chased by his dad.

Zuma later went for a dip with the hunky rocker, who joyfully splashed around with the tiny tot.

Later the whole family climbed aboard a bouncing blow-up fish that was sitting on the sand for some family fun.

The clan were among many other celebrities and their families who were celebrating the holiday at mega-producer Joel Silver's ocean-front mansion.

The famous family have recently returned from Cannes, where they were staying on Roman Abramovich's mega-yacht Luna during the Cannes Film Festival.

They had been enjoying all the spoils of the Mediterranean - sunbathing and hosting friends on the Luna, and jet-skiing in the blue water.

There the No Doubt frontwoman also flaunted her figure in an array of tiny bikinis.

The e mother-of-two displayed her enviably toned and trim figure in a series of two-piece that complimented her sculpted abs and lean legs.

Gwen recently revealed that sculpting her shape is 'a daily struggle' and has put her toned physique down to a gruelling fitness regime.

Speaking to the UK version of Elle Magazine she said: 'I work out five days a week, I can't imagine not doing it.'

The mother-of-two also admits she does sometimes find it a struggle and added: 'I'd like to have no rules and eat what I want, but I've learned over the years that I'm so disappointed when I can't wear the clothes I want to wear.'

'And if I let myself down, appear on stage when I'm not looking my best, it's not fun for me. I just beat myself up about it.'

We reveal the singer's pre-hols raw food diet

Gwen Stefani looked stunning as she strolled the decks of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich's yacht Luna on holiday in Cannes - and we can reveal how the 41-year-old got her smoking hot bod.

It's all thanks to a secret raw food diet.

According to a close pal, Gwen began the raw regime and ramped up her exercise programme to seven days a week in the run-up to her family holiday with husband Gavin Rossdale, 43, and sons Kingston, five, and Zuma, two.

‘Gwen wanted to look incredible on her break, so she went on a strict 10-day cleanse,' says the friend.

'She only ate raw foods, which she found really hard as she loves cookies and pizzas, but she was determined to be able to indulge in the fabulous French food on offer.

'Her diet consisted of fruit for breakfast; raw meat or fish for lunch and dinner; and lots of raw veg.

'Gwen was also doing a daily super-high intensity cardio workout in the gym.'

The singer's diet allowed her to tuck into the meals on Roman's yacht, where world-class chefs cater to guests' whims.

'Gwen says she's been eating pain au chocolat for breakfast without guilt,' adds our source.

'She feels her cleanse was worth it to be able to do that.'

June beckons, bringing with it the annual three-month bonanza that is the great celebrity holiday getaway and its attendant 'bikini-off'.

As the rest of us blink into the holiday sun, wondering whether we dare squeeze our pasty limbs into last year's swimsuit, in celebrity land a summer holiday is the perfect opportunity to flaunt the results of that Dukan diet and rigorous daily workouts.

Already the bar has been set high by singer Gwen Stefani, who was pictured this week frolicking in a teeny tiny polka dot bikini on board her yacht in the South of France.

Hot on her heels was fellow singer LeAnn Rimes, honeymooning in Mexico in a sparkly rhinestone two-piece, flashing a stomach that you could iron your smalls on.

The message is clear: 'Beat this, fellow A-listers.' It remains to be seen how Hollywood and the UK's finest will live up to the challenge this season.

The rest of us, meanwhile, can only look on forlornly, as we pack our cover-up kaftans into our suitcases — hoping only for the odd unflattering celebrity holiday snap or two to cheer us up.
